Tournament Display

First video-integrated tournament system on the platform

The platform had a per-game display architecture with no shared overlay layer and no video capability. Tournaments needed a configurable visual surface that could run across different games without each title reimplementing it.

I designed and shipped a new overlay layer that sits on top of the existing per-game architecture — the first video-integrated, server-driven display capability on the platform. Operators can upload custom images and configure live video playback during a tournament, turning the tournament screen into a marketing surface they control.

I owned this end to end: architecture, implementation, QA coordination, and delivery. I am also the primary engineering contact for Tournament systems across 5+ stakeholder groups spanning development, QA, art, and global teams in India, Australia, and the US.

Highlights

  • First video-integrated, server-driven display capability on the platform
  • Operator-configurable images and live video playback during tournaments
  • Built as an overlay layer — no per-game reimplementation needed
  • Primary engineering contact across 5+ stakeholder groups on three continents
  • Shipped into titles running on 100+ casino terminals
